Your role

As a Kitchen Porter at The Standard, London, you will form part of a specialist team that provides a dedicated Back of House and Stewarding service for the hotel and our collection of our F&B outlets which include high-volume all-day dining, late night lounge, busy cocktail bar and grill, garden and roof terraces, plus our exclusive destination restaurant, Decimo, on our top floor.

You will work closely with a wider F&B team and be part of a team of stewards and back of house porters and will be responsible for a range of cleaning and stewarding services including; dish wash; crockery and glassware preparation; general kitchen and back of house cleaning; recycling and refuse disposal. With a meticulous eye for detail you never miss a thing, ensuring that all services your team provide are carried out with the upmost efficiency; that is far from anything but Standard!

Most importantly you will adopt a flexible and hands-on approach able to adapt quickly to service levels in order to effectively support the business. It goes without saying that you will need to be confident and can handle pressure well; thrive in a high volume, high energy environment and can manage relationships with your colleagues with ease.

A family residing in Luxembourg is seeking a top professional nanny for their young daughter to assist with her daily care, education and development.

As a Nanny, you will be working in rotation with another Nanny and you will be responsible for providing all the care duties for the child and meeting the daily needs/routines; providing a high standard of care in bathing, feeding, and ensuring she is reaching all age-appropriate milestones, escorting them to and from activities and creating a fun learning environment for them to thrive.

Your day will start in preparation for wake up at 7am. You will assist in preparing breakfast and fill the morning with activities such as swimming, play and the park. You will provide a light lunch and ensure the girl has her afternoon nap. During the afternoon the family encourages visits to the museum and other excursions. A range of play based activities should be provided to promote development and learning at every opportunity.

The family has a housekeeper who will maintain the family home, as a nanny you will be responsible for ensuring the child’s bedroom and play area is kept tidy and in order. The family has a large dog, therefore being a dog lover is essential to the role. No responsibilities are held for the dog.
