The Italy Seasonal Work Visa Process 2023 works on a quota system set by the Italian Government which is fixed annually. For the year 2023, 44,000 seasonal Work permits will be granted under a Decreto Flussi 2023. This ensures granting a maximum number of seasonal Visas to non-European nationals. The last date to submit your Visa application at the Italian Embassy for seasonal work is 31st December 2023.

You are allowed to carry out seasonal activities in Italy under your employer. Your seasonal work permit will be initially issued for 9 months. The seasonal worker residence permit may be renewed in case of new opportunities for seasonal work. Italy is the only country in Europe that offers a large number of seasonal Jobs. Steps Involved to Apply for the Italy Seasonal Work Visa 2023

In this post, I will walk through each step and will guide you people on how to apply for the Italy seasonal Work Visa.

Step 1: Find a Seasonal Job/Employer in Italy

The first step is to find a Job or employer who is ready to sponsor you and apply for authorization to work for you. You can find seasonal Jobs in Italy through many online Job platforms such as:

Step 2: Authorisation to work (Nulla Osta al lavoro) by Employer

The employer or company who offered you a Job will apply for the authorization to work on your behalf. They need to submit an application at the One-Stop-Shop for Immigration in the Prefettura where the job will take place.

Step 3: Apply for Italy National D Visa at the Italian Embassy

Once your employer receives your authorization to work, they will inform the Italian embassy that your authorization to work has been granted and they will issue an Italian Long Stay Visa.

If you have a stay in Italy for longer than 90 days you will apply for the National D Visa. For seasonal work, you have to apply for a D Visa.

Step 4: Get a Residence Permit in Italy

Once you have received a Visa, you are free to travel to Italy. Within 8 days of arriving in Italy, you have to apply for a Residence permit to the One-Stop-Shop for Immigration at the “Prefettura” of the competent province.
