As part of our ongoing expansion and commitment to excellence, we are seeking a dedicated Orchard Farm Worker to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and care of our orchards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, a passion for agriculture, and a willingness to learn and adapt to various tasks within the orchard.

About the role - Orchard Farm Worker

As part of this role, the Orchard Farm Worker will thin fruit, prune trees and plants, operate machinery, maintain and repair equipment, use hand tools and participate in irrigation activities.

You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards (but not limited to):

operating farm machines and driving the tractors to perform routine daily maintenance, care and cleaning tasks on the orchard
repairing sprinkler systems and broken pipe fittings using hand tools
repairing canopies and posts using hand tools and power tools
cleaning, maintaining and repairing buildings, yards and fences
building trellises for climbing vegetables and vines
assisting with irrigating the land for crop growth
Qualification, Experience and Attributes Required

No qualification or prior experience is required.
High standard of personal hygiene and presentation.
Ability to work in a high-paced and vast volume environment.
Punctual, organised and capable of multi-tasking with attention to detail.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Practical skills for maintenance and repair tasks.
Driving skills for tractors or farm utility vehicles.
Ability to work outdoors and in all weather conditions.
Pay & Benefits

Full time permanent employment.
Minimum of 30 hours/week guaranteed.
Hourly rate varies from NZD 28/hour to 31/hour.
