A family residing in Luxembourg is seeking a top professional nanny for their young daughter to assist with her daily care, education and development.
As a Nanny, you will be working in rotation with another Nanny and you will be responsible for providing all the care duties for the child and meeting the daily needs/routines; providing a high standard of care in bathing, feeding, and ensuring she is reaching all age-appropriate milestones, escorting them to and from activities and creating a fun learning environment for them to thrive.
Your day will start in preparation for wake up at 7am. You will assist in preparing breakfast and fill the morning with activities such as swimming, play and the park. You will provide a light lunch and ensure the girl has her afternoon nap. During the afternoon the family encourages visits to the museum and other excursions. A range of play based activities should be provided to promote development and learning at every opportunity.
The family has a housekeeper who will maintain the family home, as a nanny you will be responsible for ensuring the child’s bedroom and play area is kept tidy and in order. The family has a large dog, therefore being a dog lover is essential to the role. No responsibilities are held for the dog.
The young girl sleeps well during the night but the nanny will hold the baby monitor and be on call should any needs arise.
The ideal candidate will be an active, enthusiastic, passionate and professional nanny who is excelling in her career, holding relevant childcare qualifications and solid experience of working in private households. French or English speakers are considered but English must be spoken to a fluent level. Driving is essential.
THE JOB:
Responsibilities:
Personal secretarial and administrative support to principals, including but not limited to calendar management, bookkeeping, invoice management and account reconciliations, filing management
Day-to-day support for the principals and their family, including but not limited to occasional support of nannies with child(-ren), occasional support of housekeeper with dog, running personal errands
Household management, including but not limited to administration pertaining to running of household, house maintenance scheduling and liaison with contractors/services, stock management and sourcing of supplies, wardrobe management
Organisation of travel arrangements, including but not limited to packing of suitcases for principals, researching and booking of travel, including flights, transportation, accommodation and activities, planning of holidays and travel itineraries, occasional travel with the family
Supervision and coordination of household staff including but not limited to staff administration, staff scheduling, staff supervision and liaison
Handling specific projects e.g., planning a holiday, house move or event
THE CANDIDATE PROFILE:
Previous experience as a Personal assistant or house management
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Well organized, proactive and detail orientated.
Ability to use initiative, work, problem solve and prioritise independently
French and English
The working schedule will be 1 week on/1 week off, working Thursday — Thursday. The role is 20/7, a 4 hour break is provided during the day.
This is a live-in position during the working shift with a private bedroom provided in the family home.
The salary on offer is £45,000 — £50,000 gross per annum
Return flights are provided for shifts off. Ideally the candidate will reside within a 2 hour flight.
